The Lois Hole Library Legacy Program is a way of giving a gift that will make an enduring difference in the community.

Alberta's libraries are as diverse as the communities they represent. Yet public, school, college and university libraries affect their communities significantly through the resources they provide, which help people explore the world and find information for modern living. Building Alberta's libraries is a way of building our communities.

Public libraries provide children and adults with the tools for life-long learning as well as recreation, and serve as information centres for businesses and other community groups.

  • Create a permanent tribute to someone dear to you, or a favourite organisation through a library donation to enable us to provide strong collections and current information for the benefit of our communities.
  • Recognize milestones or special occasions in the lives of friends and family members - such as birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, or retirements - through a library donation.

  • Enquire about other forms of legacy gifts such as bequests, named endowments and trusts.

...SCHOOLS?

Alberta's school libraries foster learning and imagination in our young people. They are centres of active study and recreation, where a variety of media offer access to the wider world of information and knowledge.

Your support can ensure the purchase of new material to enhance and strengthen the learning experience of all students in your community's school library.

  • Create a permanent tribute to someone dear to you, or a favourite organisation through a library donation to enable us to keep our collections current for the benefit of our students.
  • Recognize milestones or special occasions in the lives of friends and family members - such as birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, or retirements - through a library donation.
  • Enquire about other forms of legacy gifts such as bequests, named endowments and trusts.

...UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES?

The volume of information and knowledge is ever-growing, multiplying the needs of scholars for access, while the cost of academic books and periodicals has doubled in the past decade.

  • Consider donating your books - whether a few volumes of an entire collection - to help enrich a college or university library's teaching and research potential.
  • Create a permanent tribute to someone dear to you, or a favourite organisation, by enabling us to purchase new titles necessary for teaching and research in Alberta's colleges and universities.
  • Recognize milestones or special occasions in the lives of friends and family members - such as birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, or retirements - through a library donation.
  • Enquire about other forms of legacy gifts such as bequests, named endowments and trusts.
